James Norcliffe

Described by The Sapling as a National Treasure, James Norcliffe has published several highly acclaimed volumes of poetry and over a dozen award-winning novels for young people including the Loblolly Boy series and the first of the recently released Mallory, Mallory series (Penguin Puffin).

He has extensive experience as an editor and mentor and has had a long association with the School for Young Writers and Re-Draft.

GlynProfile.jpg

Glyn Strange

In 2010 Dr Glyn Strange received the Storylines Betty Gilderdale Award for his work as founder and director of the School for Young Writers, set up in 1993 to foster creative writing opportunities for young New Zealanders. Re-Draft grew from this, and is now in its 20th year.

Also a publisher, Glyn rarely has time to write much of his own, but fascinated by wartime disaster, has recently published No Glory Without Effort/Pas de Gloire Sans Effort. Perhaps that title suits him well, except he hasn't died yet!
