AGREEMENT

Each entry is my own, original work. As the originator of the work, I am the copyright owner. The work has not already been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

If my work is chosen for publication:

I will receive a copy of the printed publication at no cost in December 2024 or January 2025. Clerestory Press is granted the right to edit, abridge, and amend my work and agrees to obtain my consent or the consent of my parent/guardian (as appropriate) to changes made prior to publication. Clerestory Press is granted exclusive right to publish my work and to use part or all of it to promote the Re-Draft competition and the Re-Draft series of books. Clerestory Press is granted an exclusive right to publication of my work in English in New Zealand. The terms of the exclusive right granted to Clerestory Press will expire on 22 August 2025, twelve months after the competition deadline. If my work is to be published again elsewhere, I will first seek permission from Clerestory Press. This term will expire on 22 August 2025.

For entrants 13 to 17 years of age:

I confirm that I have consulted with my parent or guardian, who has given consent to the entry being submitted by me. I confirm that, if the work is selected for publication, my parent or guardian grants exclusive right to Clerestory Press to publish the work. I understand that my parent or guardian is entitled to grant the rights in this agreement.
